Beyond the Balance Sheet: Why Community Advocacy Matters

May 01, 2026

When you think of a financial advisor, you likely think of spreadsheets, market trends, and retirement goals. But at Cramer Capital Management, we believe that true "wealth" is built on the foundation of a safe and thriving community.

For over a decade, our founder, Dawn Cramer, has dedicated her time to a cause that sits at the heart of community safety: the Domestic Violence Board of Clay County.

A Seat at the Table for Change

Since January 2015, Dawn has served as one of only three members appointed to represent the citizens of Clay County. It is a responsibility she doesn’t take lightly. This board is tasked with:

  • Studying the Issue: Deeply analyzing the impact and prevalence of domestic violence in our local area.
  • Advising Leadership: Providing direct recommendations to the Clay County Commission to ensure resources are allocated where they are needed most.

Why We Serve

You might wonder why a financial professional is so deeply involved in social advocacy. To us, the answer is simple: Security.

Whether it’s securing a family’s financial future or working to ensure the physical safety of our neighbors, the goal is the same—providing the peace of mind necessary for people to grow and prosper. Dawn’s work with the Clay County Commission is an extension of the same integrity and protection we offer our clients every day.
