Bruce is the founding president of Cramer Capital Management and has been a financial advisor since 1987.
In 1986, while in college, he began his career with an internship as an accountant for Buffy’s Clothing in Columbia, Missouri. After graduating with his BS in finance and a minor in accountancy from Columbia College, Bruce joined B.C. Christopher as a financial consultant. In 1991, Bruce was named associate vice president for Merrill Lynch, and in 2000, he was named first vice president for Smith Barney. Bruce holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 securities registrations through Cetera Advisors Network LLC and his Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst® (AIFA®) certification.
In 2007, Bruce created Cramer Capital Management with the idea of building an independent ensemble firm, with the culture of providing clients with a dynamic team approach. He created an environment that would encourage all staff within the company to be involved in the client experience. He trains and encourages internships through Cramer Capital Management to understand running a practice in wealth management.
Bruce serves or has served on many boards, including Clay County EDC, Economic Development Council Board of Directors 2018, American Diabetes Association of Kansas City, Missouri, board director, Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce (past chairman), Northland Community Foundation (chair-elect), Newhouse Shelter, Hillcrest Ministries, Gladstone Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee, and Kansas City American Diabetes Association (past chairman). He is a member of the American Diabetes Pinnacle Society. He has served as president for the Kansas City’s Clay Platte BNI and South Kansas City BNI chapters. He is a graduate of the Northland Leadership Class of 2003 and Leadership Missouri of 2016.
His personal interests include health and fitness and automobiles. He is a past member of the American Power Lifting Federation, winning several events and honors in competition. He is also an active member of the Viper Club of America. Bruce and his wife, Dawn, have five children: Rachel, Leah, AJ, Nick, and Gracie.
Bruce and Dawn have a heart for charity and have raised more than $550,000 in the past six years for the American Diabetes Association and Newhouse Women’s Shelter through their “Let’s Get Jazzed” event.
